You don’t need to justify yourself. Christ did it

Paul says:

“But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by a human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself…” 1 Corinthians 4:3–4

Paul had his priorities straight. He wasn’t concerned with what others thought of him. He wasn’t even relying on his own conscience to justify himself.

He said, “I don’t know of anything against myself… but that still doesn’t make me right.” Why? Because justification doesn’t come from people’s opinions—or from our own self-assessment.

Justification comes from God.

And it comes by faith alone, not by how squeaky clean your record looks or how good you feel about your behavior.

So whether people approve of you or not, whether you approve of yourself or not—it doesn’t change your standing before God.

Only His verdict matters. And through faith in Jesus, that verdict is already in: justified.

Rest in that.
