“…God has dealt to each one the measure of faith.1” — Romans 12:3
“The life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” — Galatians 2:20
When Jesus said, “It is finished” (John 19:30), He didn’t just mean your sins were forgiven. He meant that everything you would ever need to live a godly, victorious, and faith-filled life was already accomplished and deposited in you.
That includes His righteousness, His holiness, His love — and yes, His faith.
1. You Already Have THE Faith of Christ
Faith isn’t something God gives in random amounts. It’s part of the finished work of Christ that became yours the moment you were born again.
“To those who have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ.” — 2 Peter 1:1
You don’t need to plead for more faith or wait for a “faith impartation.”
When you received Christ, you received the measure of faith 2— not a smaller, weaker version, but the same faith that raised the dead and calmed the storm.
The faith you have today isn’t human belief—it’s the faith of the Son of God living in you.
2. The Spirit Is Complete, the Mind Is Being Renewed
At the cross, Jesus didn’t make you partially new — He made you completely new in spirit.
“By one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.” — Hebrews 10:14
Your spirit is as holy, righteous, and faith-filled as it will ever be. The only part of you still catching up is your mind — the way you think, reason, and see yourself.
That’s why Paul ties transformation directly to mind renewal:
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind…” — Romans 12:2
Renewing your mind doesn’t make you more spiritual — it simply aligns your thoughts with what Christ already finished.
3. Faith Flows in Proportion to Revelation
Faith doesn’t come from effort; it flows through understanding.
Imagine a car battery that’s fully charged — that’s your spirit. But if the cables are corroded, the power can’t reach the engine.
Your mind is the connector. When you renew it with truth, the connection is cleaned and the power of faith begins to flow effortlessly.
“That the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” — Philemon 1:6
Faith “shows up” in your life not because you strive harder, but because your mind begins to agree with heaven about who you already are in Christ.
4. Faith, Sanctification, and Every Grace Work the Same Way
Everything in the New Covenant flows from Christ’s finished work.
You don’t become more sanctified, more righteous, or more anointed over time — you simply grow in the awareness of what’s already true.
The same goes for faith. You don’t get more faith; you see more clearly what you already have.
“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith…” — Colossians 2:6–7
The more you renew your mind to Christ’s finished work, the more faith naturally manifests — not as a struggle, but as a by-product of knowing Him.
5. The Finished Work Is the Source of All Faith
Jesus is called “the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2).
He began it, and He perfected it. Faith doesn’t originate from your determination; it originates from His completed work.
When you see what Jesus has already accomplished — your forgiveness, righteousness, authority, and union with Him — faith becomes the most natural response.
Faith is not the cause; it’s the result of revelation.
The more you behold His finished work, the more effortlessly faith flows.
Final Thought
You don’t need to pray for more faith — you already have the faith of Christ.
And You don’t need to strive for greater holiness — you are already sanctified in Him.
You don’t need to earn God’s favor — you are already accepted in the Beloved.
Your only task now is to renew your mind to what Jesus has finished, so that what’s true in your spirit becomes visible in your life.
“For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.” — John 1:16
- Grammatically, it can mean either the or “a” measure of faith. However, when you look at the context in this verse (Check God Has Allotted to Each the Same “Measure Of Faith” : Rom 12:3), we see that it is about homogeneity rather than everyone having different measures. God didn’t give one believer a stronger faith and another a weaker one. He gave the same faith, sourced in Jesus, to every believer at salvation. ↩︎
