Why should I believe that I have received it even before I have got it? Mark 11:24

2–3 minutes

Mark 11:24 says, “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” But why is it so important to believe that we have already received what we ask for?

When we truly believe that we have received something, our imagination begins to align with that belief. This is key—because when we imagine something as already ours, we start acting, speaking, and thinking in alignment with that reality. It’s not just about having a positive thought; it’s about a deep conviction that we have already received what we asked for.

The Role of Imagination in Faith

Believing that we have received something leads to visualization. When we visualize, we reinforce our belief, which then influences our words and actions. You cannot operate simply on a hopeful or positive mindset; you must truly see yourself as already possessing what you have prayed for.

For example, if someone is sick, they must begin to imagine and believe that they have already received their healing. This mindset is not about denying reality but about choosing to live according to the truth of God’s word rather than external circumstances. When faith-driven imagination is active, it creates a bridge between the spiritual and natural realms.

How Faith Manifests from Spirit to Reality

Faith follows a specific process:

  • Spirit Realm – The moment we have faith, we have received what we believed according to Mark 11:24. It’s done in the spirit.
  • Soul Realm – However, our mind and imagination must align with what has already been accomplished in the spirit. This is where we actively visualize and see ourselves walking AFTER WE HAVE received it.
  • Natural Realm – We have received it in our spirit, and we can see it in the soul, our mind, and NOW what we have believed begins to manifest physically,

When we engage our imagination of answered prayer in faith, whatever we prayed for manifests. This is how things move from the unseen to the seen—from the spirit, into our soul (mind), and ultimately into the natural world.

Conclusion

The key to receiving is imagination. When we believe that we have already received, we begin to visualize it, speak it, and live as if it has already happened. This process activates faith and allows God’s promises to manifest in our lives. Rather than passively waiting, we must engage our faith through imagination, aligning our thoughts with what God has already done in the spirit.

This is how faith operates—it brings what is unseen into reality.
