Why Fear of “Demonic Entry Points” Is an Unbiblical Mindset
Not long ago, someone gave me a small Egyptian Pharaoh figurine. It was a simple gift — a decorative piece, nothing more. But when some people saw it, they panicked.
“Brother, that’s dangerous!” they said. “You’ve opened a door to the devil!”
Open doors? To what exactly?
The devil?
Let’s be clear — that’s not how the Kingdom works.
1. The Devil Doesn’t Need a Door — Because He Has None
The idea that Satan can gain access to your life through an object, symbol, or harmless action is one of the most pervasive myths in modern Christianity. It’s fear dressed up as discernment.
People quote Old Testament verses about cursed items, forgetting that everything changed at the Cross.
You are no longer a vulnerable target trying to keep out darkness — you are the temple of the Living God, and darkness has no entry pass.
“For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.” — Romans 6:14
The devil has no jurisdiction, no authority, and no claim over someone who belongs to Jesus. You’re not living in a cosmic struggle between light and dark — you’re living in the finished victory of the Cross.
2. Disarmed, Defeated, and Declawed
When Jesus rose from the dead, He didn’t just win — He disarmed the powers of darkness.
“Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” — Colossians 2:15
“Disarmed” means they have no weapons left.
A powerless enemy can’t invade what he no longer owns.
If Satan has been stripped of his weapons, how can he “use” a figurine, decoration, or holiday candy to access a believer’s life?
He can’t.
3. Jurisdiction Has Changed — You’re Not in His Kingdom
Think of it this way: if a thief in another country breaks a law, your local police can’t arrest him — they’re out of jurisdiction.
When you were born again, your citizenship changed.
“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son.” — Colossians 1:13
You’re not under Satan’s domain. You’re not on his map. You are hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3).
The devil doesn’t even have the legal right to knock on your door.
4. The Fear of “Objects” and “Days” Is Modern Superstition
Some Christians fear physical objects more than they believe in spiritual authority.
They think a figurine, a song, or even participating in a community event can “invite” demons. But that’s not how Jesus operated.
He touched lepers, entered sinners’ homes, and walked among tombs. Everything He touched became clean — nothing defiled Him.
If you carry the Spirit of Christ, you don’t absorb darkness — you radiate light.
“We know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no God but one.” — 1 Corinthians 8:4
If an idol is nothing, how can nothing open a door?
5. “Passing Candy Gives Permission”? Absolutely Not.
Here’s another fear-based myth: some say that if you hand out candy on Halloween, you’re giving the devil “permission” to enter your life.
What in the world?
My life is hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3).
After saying “yes” to Jesus, my life is not mine to give — and it certainly isn’t the devil’s to take.
The devil doesn’t get “permission” slips from believers. He lost that privilege when Christ said, “It is finished.”
So stop being scared.
You don’t lose spiritual protection because you smiled at a kid in a costume or handed out chocolate, You are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). You are sealed by the Spirit (Ephesians 1:13). And you carry the One who crushed the serpent’s head.
If anyone should be worried about “open doors,” it’s the devil — because when a believer walks into a dark place, he’s the one who needs to flee.
6. Fear Is the Real Access Point
The only “door” the enemy can exploit isn’t made of wood or stone — it’s made of fear.
Fear distorts your perception and weakens your faith.
But Scripture says:
“Resist him, firm in your faith.” — 1 Peter 5:9
Faith shuts every door fear tries to open.
When you believe the truth of your position in Christ, the devil loses influence — completely.
Final Word: Light Doesn’t Fear Darkness
When people saw my Pharaoh figurine, they saw danger.
I saw an opportunity — a reminder that I’m so secure in Christ that even symbols of ancient pagan empires have zero power over me.
Because when light lives in you, darkness doesn’t invade — it evaporates.
So no, I’m not afraid of “open doors,” cursed objects, or cultural traditions.
The devil has no keys, no authority, and no access.
The only thing he opens is his mouth — and he’s been lying since Genesis.
