“It’s Not About Crowns—It’s About Love”: Rom 1:16-18

1–2 minutes

We say the gospel is the power of God for salvation. And it is—powerful enough to change a life, restore a heart, and turn darkness into light.

But if we’re honest, why we share the gospel matters just as much as what we share.

Some are motivated by the idea of rewards or crowns in heaven. But that was never the truest motivation Jesus had when He came for us. It wasn’t heavenly accolades that drove Him—it was love.

The gospel is powerful, yes. But it should be powered by love.

💬 Love for God should be the motivation not to sin.

💬 Love for people should be the motivation to share the gospel.

When you genuinely care about someone, you naturally want the best for them—and there is nothing better than the life-changing hope of Jesus. That’s why we speak. Not to notch spiritual achievements, but to invite others into the same grace we’ve received.

Let love lead you. Because that’s what brought Him to us. And that’s what should drive us to them.
