“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.”

The Command to Love One Another
What are these commandments- it’s to love one another and to believe in Jesus (1 John 3:22). It’s not about keeping the law, as many teach. We saw it in many blogs that God’s plan for us was to walk in love and not by the law.
Love is Your Fruit
This isn’t meant to be overwhelming. In fact, it should be the easiest command for a believer to follow, because we have Gods love in us. Galatians 5:22-23 says that love is a fruit. You don’t bear fruit achieved by force; but rather you bear it.
Say if you were a tomato plant. If it isn’t bearing fruit, you wouldn’t pull and prod it, demanding, “Bear fruit now!” Instead, you’d provide water, nutrients, and perhaps a little pruning to help it grow stronger and closer to its life source. In the same way, our lives bear fruit of love when we walk in the Spirit rather than obsessing over how many “fruits” we produce each day. Just as breathing happens naturally, so does the outpouring of love and good works when we walk in the Spirit.
How do I walk in the Spirit?
You are born of the Spirit of God, and hence it is your natural walk. Walk in the Spirit means following the spirit in us—not by rigidly asking, “What would Jesus do?” but by trusting the inner promptings that align with God’s will. Our spirit, perfectly united with God’s, knows the path of love and righteousness. When we stop forcing things and start listening to the Spirit, we discover that the fruits of the Spirit are already within us, waiting to bloom.
When we embrace this identity, obeying God’s commands becomes not a chore, but an expression of the life we’ve been given.
