One day, every person — no matter their background, culture, or religion — will stand before God. Paul says in Romans 14:12, “So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.” There will be no exceptions.
On that day, our secrets, motives, and actions will be laid bare (Romans 2:16). It will be a perfect judgment — nothing will be missed, and no one will be misjudged. For many, that will be a day of fear. But for others, it will be the most joyful moment of their lives. The difference comes down to one thing: What did you do with Jesus?
The Problem We All Face
The Bible is clear: “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Sin separates us from God, and no amount of good works, religion, or moral effort can erase it. The penalty for sin is death — not just physical death, but eternal separation from God (Romans 6:23).
The Good News
God did not leave us without hope. Out of His love, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live the perfect life we could never live and to die on the cross in our place. Through His death, the penalty for our sin was paid in full. And by His resurrection, He offers new life to anyone who believes.
Romans 10:9 says: “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” This is not about religion — it’s about a relationship with the living God.
Why You Must Decide Now
The final judgment is certain, but so is God’s offer of grace — right now. You can’t earn it, and you don’t have to clean yourself up first. Jesus invites you to come as you are.
2 Corinthians 6:2 says: “Now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” You don’t know how many more opportunities you will have.
How to Receive Jesus
Salvation is not about magic words, but about a genuine heart turning to God in faith. If you’re ready to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can pray something like this:
Salvation Prayer
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I cannot save myself.
I believe You died for my sins and rose again to give me eternal life.
Today, I turn from my sin and place my trust in You alone.
Come into my life, forgive me, and make me new.
I confess You as my Lord and Savior.
Thank You for saving me. Amen.
Your Next Step
If you prayed that prayer and meant it, the Bible says you are now a child of God (John 1:12). You have passed from death to life (John 5:24).
You are saved, righteous, holy and perfect in the eyes of the Lord.
Grow in this new relationship:
- Read the Bible daily, starting with the Gospel of John.
- Find a Bible-believing church and connect with other believers.
- Pray and talk to God about everything.
Remember — the same Jesus who saves you now will one day stand before you at the judgment seat, not to condemn you, but to welcome you into His eternal kingdom.
